Matthew McConaughey arrived at his latest premiere with 3 generations of his family beside him — his wife, 2 of their children, and his 94-year-old mother. It looked like a happy Hollywood family night, but the polished photographs only showed part of what made this particular lineup unusual.
Once the group began moving between poses, viewers started watching the people rather than the clothes or the premiere backdrop. And one family member in particular would become much more interesting once you knew how difficult it had once been for her to stand this close to Matthew at all.
